This is a quick recipe with few ingredients, but makes a healthy and tasty dish. My hubby came up with the recipe 🙂 We make it quite often.
Ingredients
1 bunch of organic carrots (7-8)
2 medium onions
2 teaspoons garam masala
1teaspoon ground pepper
2 tablespoons butter/oil
salt to taste.
Method
Chop onions into small squares. Chop carrots lengthwise about one inch long. Organic carrots are tastier than regular ones.
Heat cast iron skillet on medium flame, add butter and stir fry onions light brown. Add carrots and fry for few minutes. Add garam masala (I prefer Everest brand), pepper and salt. Fry for few more minutes. Don’t cook carrots fully. Serve with chapati/dal rice.
Notes: you can use steel pan too, cast iron adds more flavor to the dish.
